The Molchanovs Wave 3 / Lap 3 course is designed for experienced freedivers ready to push their limits safely. This level introduces advanced depth techniques, training strategies, and adaptations to dive beyond 30 meters with confidence and control.
It’s not just about going deeper — it’s about becoming a complete, self-reliant freediver.
What You’ll Learn:
- Depths up to 34–40 meters (111–131 feet) in Constant Weight (CWTB)
- Advanced Frenzel and introduction to mouthfill equalization
- Stretching and strength training for freediving
- Dive planning, advanced rescue techniques, and buddy procedures
- Mental focus, adaptation physiology, and relaxation under pressure
- Optional no-fins and free immersion techniques
Course Options:
- Wave 3: Includes pool + open water sessions
- Lap 3: Pool-only version focused on STA, DYNB, training tables, and coaching
Performance Requirements:
- Static Apnea (STA): 3:30 minutes
- Dynamic with Bi-fins (DYNB): 75 meters
- Constant Weight (CWTB): 34–40 meters
- Rescue: from 25 meters
Prerequisites:
- Wave 2 / Lap 2 or equivalent (e.g. AIDA 3, SSI Level 2)
- Solid equalization technique and diving fitness
